NMDHB Community Health Hub

Once vacant, the former Number One Shoes store in Blenheim’s central business district underwent an extensive refurbishment in March/April 2015 by Scott Construction Marlborough.

The 1500m2 office fit-out for the new Marlborough Community Health Hub was completed in a very short 11 week time-frame, in time for the Prime Minister, Rt Hon John Key to attend the April opening ceremony.

The Nelson Marlborough District Health Board signed a lease with the Marlborough District Council for the building in 2014, with a new integrated health hub in mind. The purpose of the modern hub was to allow staff to work together on planning and development, ensuring as much integration as possible across services. It now houses approximately 70 staff and has seen the end to the blank walls that detracted from Queen Street’s appearance.
